Capital Manager Edinburgh   £36000 - £45000 per annum + FS Benefits + Bonus Potential

We are currently looking to recruit a recently qualified accountant as Capital Manager for a leading Investment Management firm within Edinburgh. As incumbent, you will take responsibility for ICAAP project management and compilation, capital management planning and forecasting, including seed budgeting and repatriation planning across the regions and in return will gain fantastic exposure in a high profile and extremely topical area within the business.

Key Responsibilities

· Support the Head of Capital Management on areas of capital management including both economic and regulatory capital matters
· Prepare and update the Capital Plan, including capital infusions and dividends, and overseas plans rolling up to the Group level
· Act as the key co-ordinator of the firms ICAAP providing project management support and secretariat to the ICAAP Steering Committee and Working Group
· Assist with secretariat for the Capital Committee
· Assist in the preparation of the firms Basel II Pillar 3 Disclosure
· Undertake reviews of prudential regulation and in particular capital management as necessary
· Prepare and update the seed budget including new seed and scheduled redemptions
· Assist with the review and update of the Capital Policy
· Assist with the completion of data for FSA019 for annual submission
· Leverage relationships with external advisors to facilitate the above

About You

· Candidates must hold a Professional Accountancy Qualification (CA, ACCA or CIMA) or have a strong track record in this specialist area
· Candidates should have a strong understanding / experience of Treasury operations and in particular capital management alongside financial reporting
· Ideally a minimum of 3 years experience in Financial Services
· Understanding and knowledge of FSA regulatory framework and regulatory capital calculations is desirable
· Exposure to and understanding of ICAAP and SREP highly preferable
