Design Engineer Aberdeen

Eden Scott's client based on the North side of the city is looking to recruit a Design Engineer.

Key Accountabilities (includes, but not limited to the following)

*Design and prepare engineering drawings in Solidworks & AutoCad format to the relevant standards
*Supporting relevant staff members in the administration of company policies and procedures.
*Assist in all purchasing completed by the engineering department ensuring cost effectiveness at all times, using the current purchasing software
*Inputting and maintaining data on company databases
*Updating of all technical records including drawings, technical library and any relevant documents
*Representation of the company in a professional manner at all times
*Support of the Sales and Operations departments when required
Qualifications/Experience
Essential:
HNC minimum, HND preferred in a mechanical discipline.

Experience in all aspects of component design, assemblies and fabrication. Design of hydraulic systems.

Desirable:
*Mechanical Engineering Degree
*Experience in mechanical design. Subsea tooling design. Hydraulic control systems design. Hand Calcs and FEA Analysis

Skills
*Expert in 3-D design, preferably Solidworks Design background. Materials selection, component specifications.
*Creating user manuals, assembly drawings, B.O.M's, tolerance of parts, weld specifications. Knowledge of DNV 2.7-1. High pressure water systems.
