Clinical Services Manager
At Bupa, you’ll help people live longer, healthier, happier lives. As part of an organisation that provides a broad range of healthcare services, you’ll make a positive difference to people’s lives - and you’ll thrive in an environment which offers great opportunities for your own career.
About this role
As Clinical Services Manager, you’ll be dedicated to ensuring the highest standards of care planning. You’ll help ensure our residents feel at home - giving them independence, choice, and privacy – while inspiring your whole team to share your passion for clinical care. With no shareholders to answer to, we’re free to concentrate on the needs of our residents - and so are you. In this role you’ll use brilliant people skills and a meticulous approach to create a working atmosphere where robust quality assurance and the individual residents’ needs are perfectly balanced, and expertly met. To achieve this means thorough care planning, leading by example and taking the time to give each individual the training support they need to grow and develop. It’s the perfect first step to one day becoming a Home Manager.
What we expect from you
We’re looking for an experienced first level Registered Nurse. A clinical expert for the home, with a natural talent for managing, connecting and communicating with people at all levels. Leadership and knowledge of elderly care is a must, as is a sound knowledge of tissue viability, infection control and care planning. As you’ll often be working to deadlines, you’ll also need excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritise and organise workloads effectively.
Keeping standards high
You’ll be continually assessing the individual clinical needs of our residents to ensure that they receive the holistic care and attention that suits them best. We’ll also look to you to make sure care plans are evaluated and reviewed regularly. Not least, you’ll maintain relationships with local GPs and Local Authorities.
Leading by example
Whether providing care, keeping strict control of pharmacy records or monitoring staff hours, you’ll show a caring professionalism. You’ll also help us maintain our Investor in People (IIP) standard by giving guidance and training to staff, and giving clinical support and direction through effective appraisals.
Is this for you?
Opportunities for progression aren’t all you’ll receive in return for making our residents feel at home. You’ll be well looked after too with a great range of benefits. At Bupa, we’re making a difference. If you’ve got the skills and experience to do the same and want to work for a leading international healthcare group, we’d love to hear from you.
