My client are a well established and world recognised 5* resort looking to recruit an experienced Events & Banqueting Manager to effectively monitor the daily events planning process and operations of the Events and Banqueting departments. This is an exciting new position for a candidate with food & beverage service experience/events planning background and prior hospitality experience within a 5* hotel.
You will possess excellent communication skills and have a working knowledge of types of room set ups.
Overseeing a team of Sales/Events and Operational staff, duties will include:
To liaise with the sales and resort sales departments ensuring efficient transition for each event being contracted. Effectively process all weddings through the enquiry stage, sales process through to the completion and signing of contract. Effectively coordinate the delivery of all resort events business with all relevant departments. Responsible for maintaining all procedures and processes within the events planning department ensuring that all summaries and banqueting event orders are both produced and signed off by the client in a timely manner. To ensure that all operational information is accurate on group summaries and banqueting event orders. To chair the weekly summary and banqueting event planning meetings. To assist the Director of Revenue and Food & Beverage Manager in both the planning and delivery of forecasts and budgets. Review all written communication, i.e., resumes, daily/weekly, Banquet Event Orders to determine appropriate staffing levels, room/station assignments, buffet décor and enhancements as they relate to banquets and meeting room set-ups. Communicate all changes within the Events and Banquet Department and make adjustments according to the above items. To ensure that all relevant information is communicated to all departments prior to and during events. Responsible for maintaining a strong client relationship and ensuring that all banqueting specifications are communicated to and executed by all resort operating departments making for a successful event experience for the event planner, and attendees. To ensure that there is a constant communication from the Events Team to both resort departments and the client as it applies to the client at hand. Responsible for the appropriate and timely set up of all functions and meetings while maintaining standards of food, beverage and meeting specifications. Communicate all daily activities, in person or by log, to all departments to ensure smooth transition and follow-up from one function to another. Give daily support and guidance to fellow events and banquet personnel as well as monitor job performance to ensure a successful event experience by our guests.
