Design Draftsperson Glasgow   c £16.00 per hour

Company is a leading developer of bespoke solutions for a niche engineering market. Employing demanding design processes, and involving a range of unusual materials and production techniques, it supplies solutions for a growing global customer base.

To enhance its design capability, it requires an additional Engineer. Working as part of the design team, you will be responsible for assisting the Design Engineers in the design of new projects. This will include running simulations, producing models and part drawings, sourcing and specifying standard components, managing design changes and related documentation, and you may be involved in tooling design for in-house manufacture, as well as liaising with external suppliers.

You will have a formal Mechanical Engineering background, and you will have enough drafting experience using SolidWorks to be able to work to given parameters without supervision. Whilst the role is initially on contract to cover a substantial increase in business, it will go permanent for the right candidate.
