Search's client require a Senior Design Engineer for there in site in Dunfermline Fife

Main duties will include

Engineering design duties in line with operating procedures, including:

  • Generate conceptual designs or customise existing designs for proposals or projects from customer or internally generated specifications and prepare design layouts using 2D (Microstation) or 3D (Unigraphics) drawing packages.
  • Present designs to engineering staff during internal design reviews.
  • Prepare DBI's and review detail drawings (selecting raw material as necessary) prepared from design layouts.
  • Make necessary engineering changes to product drawings and DBI's.
  • Participate in investigation and disposition of non-conformances.
  • Generate equipment assembly, test, FAT, handling, storage, rework, maintenance and commissioning procedures as required.

    • Requirements / Skills

  • At least 5 years experience as a design engineer in a product design environment
  • Honours Degree in Mechanical Engineering, other qualifications may be accepted
  • Engineering design aptitude
  • Ability to coach more junior members of the engineering department
  • Ability to work as part of a team
