Our client in Aberdeen is looking to recruit for a Logistics and Materials Coordinator due to an internal promotion. The role will involve managing the inventory stock levels and incoming and outgoing inventory so that sufficient stock is on hand to carry out operations. Also ensure that logistical requirements are met within the required timeframe and that all paperwork is correct prior to shipment out of the base as well as equipment imported into the base.


Key Responsibilities

  • Compile and document all necessary shipping documentation for equipment and service movements. Ensure that inventory records are current and that any upcoming operations are accounted for with respect to equipment readiness.
  • Carry out general duties as instructed by Directors and managers including transport of equipment and explosives substances and articles.
  • Manage and supervise the security of access keys.
  • Liaise with vendors and ensure all competent authority applications are made and in process.
  • Pull parts from inventory according to job loadout lists.
  • Conduct physical inventory cycle counts and assist with reconciliation.
  • Identify inventory part shortages.
  • Confirm quantities and condition on goods receipts from outside vendors.
  • Assist in the organisation and restocking of shelves.
  • Available on a 24 hour on call basis to issue parts for high priority situations.
  • Maintain and keep current all defined company systems to ensure that they accurately reflect the actual location, quantity, state and value of the inventory.
  • Carry out annual and cycle physical counts as required and ensure that physical records are matched with records.
  • Set min/max and re-order levels with the co-ordination of Operations /Workshop supervisors.
  • Conduct monthly reviews of inventory , report concerns and anomalies to management and follow up as necessary.
  • Work assignments carried out to the highest quality level.
  • Create and manage a material process for throughput within the facility in accordance with company procedures.

  • Candidates must have significant experience in managing inventory and preferably ADR qualified. Qualified in the storage and transport of dangerous goods along with explosives experience would be preferred.
