We have an exciting new opportunity for an Associate Project Quality Advisor to be based in Aberdeen with a Leading Subsea Company. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wishes to pursue a career in Quality Management and wishes to climb the career ladder through continuous training and further education.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Within a Subsea Project (s) supports the effective implementation of the company's systems, professional Quality tools, principles and objectives.
- Supports the Project Quality Advisor(s) in the alignment of the Company Quality Plan and Systems with Project Contractual requirements.
- Supports project leadership teams in implementing the requirements of the business management system and ensuring contractual compliance throughout the project lifecycle i.e. Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Installation phases.
- Supports the Project Quality Advisor(s) in the preparation and delivery of the Project Quality Plan(s) and associated Project Quality Assurance and Control Documentation.
- Supports the Project Quality Advisor(s) in tracking project performance against company global quality metrics and project specific Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) as applicable.
- Supports the Project Quality Advisor(s) in global quality metric target achievement through effective non-conformance and audit case management.
- Supports the Project Quality Advisor(s) in coordination of supplier inspection activity and management worksite deployed QC inspection personnel
- Supports the Project Quality Advisor(s) in maintenance of QC Inspection Budget - projecting overspend, rework costs, tracking spend v estimate etc.
- Supports the Project Quality Advisor(s) in ensuring supplier and sub-contractor inspection and test plans are reviewed, endorsed with Quality requirements and approved.
- Develops audit and verification skills both internally and externally in order to achieve required auditor experience and competency in line with company requirements.
- Supports the Project Quality Advisor(s) in ensuring where appropriate, all engineering and procurement documents are adequately endorsed with quality requirements.
- Supports the Project Quality Advisor(s) in closely monitoring business areas where there are known costs of non-quality, ensuring corrective actions are effectively implemented and verified.
- Supports the Project Quality Advisor(s) in providing quality support to Supply Chain Management in respect of supplier and subcontractor approval, bid assessment, pre award evaluation and vendor risk / performance management post award.
- Supports the Project Quality Advisor(s) in monitoring product and service quality at supplier and sub-contractor facilities - predominantly through management of 3rd party deployed inspection resources.
- Supports the Project Quality Advisor(s) in ensuring supplier and sub-contractor inspection and test plans are reviewed, endorsed with Quality requirements and approved.
- Participates in the opportunity for improvement (OFI) process including the reporting of project OFI's, identifying corrective and preventive measures and facilitating OFI closeout
- Supports Business Improvement Initiatives within the project and company as applicable
- Promotes and supports Knowledge Management within the project and wider business environment
- Supports continuous improvement of the Business Management System (BMS) through identification of process ineffectiveness, OFI trending and identification of best practices within the project environment.
- Any other duties as required
Qualifications and Education
Qualified to degree level within Quality Management. Business Management, Project Management, Engineering or similar. The successful candidate must be prepared to commit to the achievement of Chartered Quality Institute qualification.
