Fantastic opportunity of a Costings Engineer to join a progressive Engineering company based in Ayrshire.

Key Responsibilities include;

• To cost customer enquiries for sub-contract machining services
• To provide accurate quotations on time which are both competitive and profitable

Key Areas of Responsibility:

• Costing Machining Jobs
• Ensuring deadlines for quotations are met
• Ensuring comprehensive production documentation for quotes is provided
• Liaising effectively with other departments

Ensure that quotations are dealt with in a timely manner, meeting customer’s deadlines and are competitive and profitable, based on the analysis of:

• Methods
• Plant and tooling requirements
• Time to develop & manufacture
• Non-recurring costs
• Lead times give to customers should also be accurate and achievable based on factory loading and engineering resource availability.

Key Requirements;

• Past Manual & CNC Machining Operation Experience
• Good knowledge of machining methodology
