Electronic Technician Aberdeen   £27,000 - £30,000 per annum

Vacancy in a unique service company within the Oil and Gas Services sector for an experience Electronic technician.

Established over 20 years ago, our client is a successful and innovative Well Completion, Intervention and manufacturing company based in Aberdeen, Scotland who are also expanding rapidly, with the most recent office opening in Norway. Privately owned and has been organically grown to focus specifically on the targeted implementation of bespoke oilfield technologies which position them “ahead of the pack”. Their possession of numerous patents with more in process underlines a commitment to the continual development of cutting edge downhole technology.

To manufacture, assemble and test our client’s extensive and innovative range of downhole electronics and assist the engineering and operations team where required. Repair, recalibrate and maintain products being returned.

                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                              The successful candidate must be either time served with a minimum of three years experience in an electronics workshop environment or have completed a Modern Apprenticeship in Electronics. The focus is on electronics, so a knowledge of printed circuit boards is a must.

The following skills are required:

• Proven soldering expertise
• Experience with surface component mounting
• Technical knowledge for fault finding
• Good basic skills in computer programs/use
• Good written verbal & numeracy skills
• Experience with Electronic Testing

The successful candidate will either have an HNC/HND in Electronic Engineering or will have completed a modern apprenticeship in Electronics- please not that no other disciplines are currently being considered.
