Electrical Background

G R Advanced Materials.  Joining our engineering team, the role involves ensuring work centre reliability by responding to breakdowns, making modifications and undertaking pro-active maintenance.  Whilst the role will also be providing reactive and planned maintenance support on pneumatic and mechanical systems, a strong electrical background is essential for this post. 

Your electrical background should ensure that you have the ability to install electrical equipment using electrical drawings.  You should have a recognised electrical apprenticeship or HND in electrical discipline with 17th Edition BS7671 IEE regulations and PAT testing experience being desirable. 

We have a strong focus on knowledge management and retaining all of the knowledge acquired at each breakdown activity.  The ability to use a logical and thorough approach to fault finding whilst gathering data and utilising existing information is essential.  As you will be working with a range of software packages and internal systems to access information and record work progress, an intermediate level of computer literacy is necessary for the role.

With experience of reactive and planned maintenance in a manufacturing environment, you will be expected to actively promote and undertake safe working practices at all times.  A flexible and adaptable approach to responding to changing business needs with good interpersonal and communication skills are important in this team working environment.  You will be joining a professional and dedicated engineering group providing cover over a 3-shift rota 5 days per week. 

GR Advanced Materials Ltd is part of the Ricoh Global Manufacturing network.  GR Advanced Materials (GRAM) manufactures consumables for Digital Duplicators.   Products are distributed to the Western hemisphere, China and Japan.  With 40 employees on site the key processes are pigment milling, emulsion ink manufacture, ink filling, lamination, slitting and packing.
