We are recruiting for A QHSE Advisor for one the leading Global Oil and Gas Companies in Aberdeen.

The main responsibilities will include:
 Maintaining and assisting with development of the documentation on the IMS, including document revision, circulation for review and approval, issue, retrieval and destruction, and archiving
 Ensuring the review of all legislation related to companies activities and maintenance of the Legal Register
 Development and implementation of the Site Safety Manual and the Operations Manual for offshore projects
 Performing critical vendor quality audits in accordance with ISO 9001
 Performing internal and worksite HSE audits as required by Audit Schedule
 Performing of workshop / office hazard hunts as required
 Assisting with the preparation of QHSE related project procedures, preparation and performance of project HSE briefings and participation in project HAZID/ HIRA's
 Sourcing of training materials and provision of HSE training and induction to personnel
 Maintaining and assisting with the Emergency Response provisions for ER support to offshore teams
 Maintenance of Incident Analysis Register ensuring that incident reports are registered, completed and circulated, and that the global monthly statistics are submitted
 Participates and conducts incident investigations where required
 Registering and tracking closure of offshore safety reports
 Maintenance of the Safety Action Tracking List (ATL) and expediting closure
 Maintenance and upkeep of the COSHH Register
 Focal point for 3rd party ISO14001 and OHSAS18001 certification audits
 Office / project liaison to vessel medic for QHSE related issues
 Assisting with the duties of the QHSE Manager as and when required

Experience / Background:
 HNC or equivalent in QHSE discipline preferred (Minimum requirement of NEBOSH General H&S
Certificate
 Lead Auditor Qualification preferred (minimum of ISO9001:2008 internal auditor)
 Membership of a professional body (IOSH, IIRSM etc) is preferred
 Experience working in a QHSE Department and at QHSE Advisor level
 Experienced auditor capable of completing vendor audits

Special Skills / Knowledge
 HNC or equivalent in QHSE discipline preferred
 Detailed Knowledge of the principles and requirements of ISO 9001 - Capable of conducting full and detailed vendor audits in accordance to ISO 9001
 Detailed knowledge of the principles and requirements of ISO 14001
 Detailed knowledge of the principles and requirements of OHSAS 18001 - Capable of conducting full and detailed vendor audits in accordance to OHSAS 18001
 Understanding of the health and safety obligations placed on employers under UK law
 Experience of the application of a QMS and HSE policies within the North Sea Oil & Gas environment
 Knowledge of the HSE requirements for activities within the Norwegian continental shelf (NORSOK) is desirable.
 Knowledge of the HSE requirements for activities with regards to marine activities (IMCA. ISM, ISPS, MARPOL, SOLAS etc) is desirable.
 Good computer literacy with skills in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, PowerPoint), Sharepoint and Visio
 Strong oral and written communication skills
