Working with Council Tax, Rent & Housing/Council Tax Benefits, you will administer advice in accordance with statutory procedures to customers in person, by telephone and in writing. You will have excellent communication skills in writing, on the telephone and face-to-face and excellent customer service skills. You must be proficient in the use of a PC and be able to work under pressure and to strict deadlines.
You must have a Standard Grade or equivalent in Typing/Word Processing/PC/Office Skills, English and Maths/Arithmetic.
Experience of Benefits, Council Tax and/or Rent administration is preferred but not essential. This post is temporary until September 2013. Successful applicants for posts working with children or vulnerable adults will be subject to disclosure checks or the new PVG scheme.
