International blue chip business based in Edinburgh have a current requirement for a significant number of high calibre candidates. As the business continues to develop and streamline, they have recognised the need to supplement their existing talent pool. Although operating nationally and internationally, this is a business with a major presence in the Edinburgh area. They are currently looking for qualified accountants with strong commercial experience within a blue chip or large company environment. Due to the demands facing the organisation at this time it is unlikely that they will consider candidates who do not come from this background. They have a work programme that will also require them to recruit more people as the year progresses.

There are a number of opportunities for technically strong accountants with good experience in a Financial Accounting and Reporting role.

Man management responsibility
Preparation of Monthly MI and analysis
Support carrying business units
Financial control activity around a number of ledger accounts
Build relationships with divisions and provide insight into the commentary
Understand key business drivers and provide a high level of knowledge and commercial awareness
Monthly and quarterly reporting
Ensure compliance with regulatory and audit requirements

Candidates need to have the following skills/attributes:

Blue chip/Big company background
ACA, CIMA, ACCA
Qualified
Clear career progression
Exposure to fast moving, changing business environments
Strong commercial skills
Flexibility and a positive attitude to change
A 'can do' approach
Excellent interpersonal skills
Extensive knowledge of Financial Accounting and Reporting
