We have a exciting new opportunity for a Payroll Assistant.  Reporting to the the Payroll Manager you will be responsible for processing a high volume payroll accurately and efficiently managing the process from start to finish

As a Payroll Assistant what responsibilities will I have:

  • Assist the payroll team in order to contribute to the acheivement of company strategy and objectives
  • Process PAYE, SSP, SMP, SSP, Employee Information etc
  • Collate all reporting and process all arrestments as and when required
  • Answer all 3rd party/customer payroll queries in a professional and courteous manner, escalating where appropriate
  • Assist the department in processing end of Year, P60’s and reporting
  • Pension processing and payment
  • Keep up to date with payroll legislation to ensure correct information is given to customers

As a Payroll Assistant what type of skills and experience will I need:

  • Strong understanding of payroll legislation
  • Significant payroll experience
  • PC literate with a working knowledge of industry standard packages (opera)
  • Expertise knowledge of PAYE, SSP, SMP, SSP
  • Excellent communication and listening skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
