We have a exciting new opportunity for a Payroll Assistant. Reporting to the the Payroll Manager you will be responsible for processing a high volume payroll accurately and efficiently managing the process from start to finish
As a Payroll Assistant what responsibilities will I have:
- Assist the payroll team in order to contribute to the acheivement of company strategy and objectives
- Process PAYE, SSP, SMP, SSP, Employee Information etc
- Collate all reporting and process all arrestments as and when required
- Answer all 3rd party/customer payroll queries in a professional and courteous manner, escalating where appropriate
- Assist the department in processing end of Year, P60’s and reporting
- Pension processing and payment
- Keep up to date with payroll legislation to ensure correct information is given to customers
As a Payroll Assistant what type of skills and experience will I need:
- Strong understanding of payroll legislation
- Significant payroll experience
- PC literate with a working knowledge of industry standard packages (opera)
- Expertise knowledge of PAYE, SSP, SMP, SSP
- Excellent communication and listening skills
- Excellent attention to detail
