Eden Scott's industry leading client has an immediate requirement for a skilled and talented IT Manager to join their team in Aberdeen on a 3 month contract.

Reporting directly to the UK General Manager with dotted line reporting into the Infrastructure & Service Delivery Manager you will be primarily responsible for ensuring the delivery and operation of IT services into your assigned regions. You will be the go-to person in regards to systems expertise and leadership in the development of systems, applications and programs in your regional areas.

Key responsibilities:

*Manage the regional IT team including outsourced consultant services, including staff, day to day direction, performance management and development.
*Work with senior management to propose, agree and deliver IT services to agreed levels.
*Project management for the implementation and rollout of corporate applications within the region in accordance with corporate and regional agreed priorities and deadlines.
*Responsible for regional IT hardware, software and maintenance procurement in line with agreed local budgets and Group IT Standards.
*Responsible for IT training for regional IT teams and business in regards to localised solutions.
*Provide Group wide expertise in the area of logistics systems and processes across the group.
*Participate in the full implementation cycle of Group wide IT systems implementations as directed.
*Design solutions and improvement while managing user expectations and meeting user requirements.
*Coach, develop and supervise staff of technical professionals.
*Provide recommendations and support to help site/regional management to reach its business and productivity targets.
*Provide routine second level support as well as provide first level support as required.
*Manage the provision of user accounts, access and permissions to systems and software ensuring appropriate controls and processes are in place to manage starters and leavers and role/job changes are reflected in accurate user access rights being maintained.
*Deputise for other regional Heads of IT at times of absence.

Essential skills and experience:
*Experience with computer hardware, operating systems, application fundamentals, networking hardware and software.
*Experience managing technical staff in network management, system administration, and/or customer support.
*Proven background in project management with an ability to manage multiple projects and implementations.
*Experience of managing vendors.
*Regional working experience is advantageous.
*Experience in IT infrastructure planning and development.
*Experience in managing budgets, ideally in excess of £300,000 p.a.
*Strong management and team leading skills including management of outsourced consultant services.
*Ability to prioritise effectively and execute tasks in a high pressure and technical environment.
*Able to work both independently and collaboratively with staff in the department, and end user departments.
*Excellent communication skills at all levels of business (written an verbal)
