Substance Misuse Support Workers Galashiels   £17,004 per annum

SWIIS urgently requires experienced substance misuse support workers in the  Galashields area for short and long-term projects and ad hoc shifts. This role involves working within a drop-in service.

You will be offered the prospect of working varied shifts, including night and weekend work. However, for the purpose of registration you will be expected to commit 30 hours per week (Monday – Friday: 9am – 5pm)and be available at times for short notice work.

SWIIS currently has a range of client groups who offer both full and part-time flexible hours, with opportunities to become part of a regular rota.

Essential requirements

• At least 1 year of recent experience in a relevant field.
• Understanding and knowledge of the issues faced by service users.
• Creative approach to empowering service users to achieve their goals.
• Experience of compiling and following support plans.
• Commitment to the care and well-being of service users.
• Dedication to continued professional and personal development.
• Current PVG.

Desirable

• Car driver or a willingness to travel.
