Alistair Hindle & Associates are a small, rapidly growing firm of patent and trade mark attorneys based in central Edinburgh. We provide specialist legal advice to clients in Scotland, around the UK and throughout the world.
We are seeking to recruit a patent / intellectual property secretary to work closely with and provide support to our patent attorneys. Duties include preparing correspondence, preparing forms for patent and trade mark applications, liaising with clients, diary management, invoice generation, filing, sharing telephone reception duties, and meeting and greeting clients. All of this work needs to be done with considerable care and attention.
The successful candidate will be reliable, highly-organised, self-motivated and good at working in a team, with strong attention to detail and a commitment to doing their work carefully and well. Good computer skills and the ability to draft clear letters and emails are essential. The post involves audio typing but, although good typing speed is essential, previous audio experience is not. We would consider either candidates who already have experience in a similar role or candidates with appropriate skills who are new to this role. Structured training will be provided and we are keen to recruit someone who is willing to learn and develop new skills.
We offer a pleasant working environment near George Street in central Edinburgh. The post is a permanent position with a 37.5 hour working week. Salary is very much dependent on experience but generally at the higher end of legal secretarial rates.
Closing Date: 07-Sep-2012
