****Based in Basrah, Iraq - Rotational Position****

Our client are currently looking to recruit a Country (General) Manager for their Iraq Business. The successful candidate should have experience in successfully managing an entire facility and its P&L, sales plans, operations, customer satisfaction, finances, human resources, HSE, and quality. The successful candidate will be self-motivated and dynamic individual with a proven track record in a Leadership Role.

****Based in Basrah, Iraq - Rotational Position****

This role will be on an 8/3 rotation. Applicants must have experience of rotating equipment.

Key Responsibilities and Specific Accountabilities will include:

  • Operating as a Senior Manager with Proven Experience in developing operational plans, financial plans, business plans, and budgets for managing facility performance;
  • Developing & implementing LEAN Manufacturing processes and approaches within a workshop;
  • Developing and implementing process improvements which continuously improve "on time delivery", growth objectives, and operational efficiencies;
  • Ensuring compliance to Company and Group policies & practices and
  • Government regulations in all facility activities and transactions;
  • Interacting with Customers, Sales Teams, Engineering and Operational personnel to ensure that manufacturing and repair requirements are being made and business and financial goals are being met;
  • Meeting deadlines and financial targets and Commercially driving sales team to expand the business.

  • The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Technical sales and operations experience;
  • Strong product knowledge of rotating equipment, valves, operating machine shops, API pressure control equipment;
  • Proven experience of Profit & Loss and delivery on budgets with Strong Commercial acumen;
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, leadership skills and PC and presentation skills;
  • Should possess the ability to drive change;
  • Previous experience in working within a multi-cultural environment and diverse workforce;
  • Financial understanding to formulate and manage annual business plans.
