Financial Crime Manager - AML Edinburgh   £35,000 - £50,000 plus FS bens

We are delighted to be assisting one of our high profile and expanding financial services clients in recruiting a talented Financial Crime Manager, focussing in particular on policy relating to Anti Money Laundering. The  candidate who secures the role will join one of Scotlands current success stories and will be instrumental in helping the organisation flourish.

The role involves providing assistance on a variety of money laundering, financial sanctions, terrorist financing and bribery and corruption issues to business units and relevant stakeholder across the business, and providing subjet matter expertise to projects.

Responsibilities include:
Developing annual assurance plan to assess compliance with policy requirements
Providing assurance over the AML and sanctions to enable MLRO and the Chief Risk Officer, to certify the accuracy and effectiveness of controls
Undertake new business/client/products assessments and assess the effectiveness of the controls in place
Responsible for defining standards – research and development of the Policy
Providing Management Information, including MLRO Reports, monthly summaries, support ad-hoc information requests from regulators

Experience required includes:
In depth knowledge of AML and sanctions regulation and industry best practise with experience in providing advice to a variety of business lines.
Good understanding of the FSA Handbook, JMLSG guidelines and Money Laundering regulations.
Knowledge and experience of AML and sanctions reviews and investigations
Experience of identifying, assessing and recommending mitigations for AML and sanctions risks
