Line Technician West Lothian   £13.20 per hour

Blue Arrows client in West Lothian is seeking an experienced Line Technician to join their team. The ideal candidate will have experience of working in a fast moving environment and be able to carry out both mechanical and electrical issues on site.

Main duties will be to ensure that equipment required to fulfill the production requirements is available for use and is in good state of repair. Train operators in the operation of machinery and participate in cross training with other employees. Maintain line output, quality and efficiency. Carry out planned preventative maintenance and take corrective action in response to reported defects. Work in a safe manner, paying particular attention to equipment safety, ensuring that the equipment is safe to use prior to leaving the equipment. Advise Line Managers of any defects/problems which may impact plant efficiency. Provide effective response to equipment breakdowns.

Experience Required:- experience of working in a high speed 24 hour continuous output environment. Able to changeover manufacturing equipment as necessary, using changeover sheets, machine manuals. Ensuring equipment is set at optimum efficiency. Able to problem solve using machine manuals if necessary. Able to follow engineering/electrical machine drawings. Able to recognise spare parts within the machine manuals and to list the parts necessary to facilitate and repair the machinery.

This job will be 1 day per week initially and it will either be Friday NIGHTSHIFT (10pm to 6pm) or Saturday DAYSHIFT (6am to 2pm). May suit someone looking for an extra shift per week or someone who has other commitments and only looking for a shift to boost income
