Reporting to the Management Accountant, and working within a fast paced Finance Team, the successful candidate will be required to demonstrate a solid management accounting background and should constantly strive for innovation and change.
This is a key role within the Finance Department with scope for continued growth and development, which requires an ambitious candidate who can add real value to the team.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
§ Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts
§ Completion of monthly and weekly balance sheet reconciliations
§ Responsible for producing, timely and accurate financial information for other business users
§ Assist with weekly sales & franchise fee invoicing
§ Provide cover for other team members, including sales ledger and banking administration
§ Building strong working relationships with other business units, external franchisees and company stores.
§ Provide assistance to other accountants in the day to day running of the finance function
KEY SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES:
- Previous experience of working within a fast paced finance team
- Part qualified or qualified through proven industry experience
- Quality orientated – accomplish tasks by considering all areas involved, no matter how small; accurately checking documentation.
- Ability to build positive working relationships with colleagues and other teams throughout the Cheque Centre and Cash Generator
- Managing Work – effectively priorities workload ensuring tasks and projects are completed efficiently and deadlines are met.
- Flexibility and adaptability – able to adapt well to change.
- Self motivated – able to work on your own, staying focused and using your own initiative to make autonomous decisions.
- Willingness to learn
- Good (intermediate) Microsoft Excel skills
- Team player with the ability to communicate at all levels
- Innovative individual-able to suggest and implement changes to practices and procedures
