We are currently recruiting for the position of Senior Accountant, based in Aberdeen, for our newly established UK Oilfield chemicals operation. 

Job Description

Operating within a small business team, the post holder will be in charge of the Aberdeen-UK Company accounts and administration. Will report administratively to the Aberdeen based Managing Director, and functionally to the Group Financial Controller. The incumbent will be trained on using the Company’s  ERP Accounting system “MS-Dynamics”. 

The requirements to be considered for this position are:

-Bachelor Degree in accounting

-Minimum of 3 years accounting experience, ideally in an international environment, including preparation & posting of monthly accounting entries and accruals/prepayments

-ACCA/CA Part-Qualified or qualified will be considered depending on practical experience.

-Hands on experience in a computerized accounting system.

-Good communication skills and ability to work well under pressure whilst assisting a team. 

The primary responsibilities of the position include:

-Preparation & posting of monthly accounting entries and accruals/prepayments.

-Preparation and posting of inventory landed costs, sales invoices, payroll journals.

-Initiation of payments and bank transfers.

-Preparation of VAT/GST returns.

-Preparation of Monthly MIS reports.

-Other administrative tasks as required by a small business unit

-Ad hoc tasks as directed by Group Financial Controller and management.
