Management Accountant Dumfries and Galloway   Dependent on experience

A highly successful FMCG food manufacturing business, based in the Kelloholm near Sanquar, is looking to recruit a Management Accountant.

The role is an interesting opportunity to support the Group Financial Controller, and Manufacturing  Directors with the provision of accurate and timely management information, being able to challenge and add value to the decision making process. Typically you will be supporting projects, providing budgeting and forecasting, KPI monitoring, profitability analysis etc.

Ideally you will be professionally qualified, ACCA or CIMA with a background in manufacturing, be a strong communicator and have a solid management accounting background.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepares reports and ledgers.

Stock Analysis and reporting

Monitors compliance with generally accepted accounting principles regulations.

Preparation of the weekly gross margin

Preparation of bank reconciliations

Maintenance of fixed asset register

Ensuring that all accounts in the balance sheet are reconciled and correctly stated

Assist collation of monthly and quarterly reporting packs

Staff management and development



Skills & Experience

Experience of working within manufacturing

Use of Sage 1000 would be an advantage

Experience of working within a similar role

QBE would be considered

Knowledge of accounting principles, practices and procedures.


Previous experience of preparing detailed reports on a timely basis.

Good Skills in Excel is essential
