The Mercure Aberdeen Ardoe House Hotel & Spa require an
Events Sales – Meetings & Events Co-ordinator.
You will be experienced in hotel event organisation and sales.
As a Sales Ambassador for the hotel your main role is to maximise the sales opportunities and to organise events on behalf of companies and individuals.
Main responsibilities:
Ensure the smooth running of the various services involved in the Conference and Events activity for the hotel.
Handle incoming calls, analyse customer’s needs, and suggest a service provision reflecting the customer’s needs.
Know the services offered by the hotel and inform the customer of these.
Draw up a quotation, negotiate and conclude the sale.
Take part in the organisation of promotional events, such as Wedding Fayres & Client Evenings
Apply the pricing and commercial policies of the establishment.
Optimise earnings for your sector.
Maintain update, and manage he customer files.
Maximise the opportunity to monitor business through Sales & Catering software to ensure all Activities are chased and all enquiries & turnaways are logged appropriately
Identify, assess and forward any sales leads to the relevant personnel
Regularly check the quality of the services offered through customer comments and feedback during service meetings.
Monitor the commercial policies of the competition and keep up to date with what is happening in the area.
Co-ordinate the proper organisation of the work and the logistics of each event in the context of the Conferences/Events department.
Ensure the proper distribution of the work sheets and the relevant information to all departments.
