Avenue Recruitment Mechanical Engineer Falkirk (Town)

Avenue Scotland are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Engineer to be responsible for the assessment, design, verification and validation of Mechanical requirements for a range of projects on a complex operational site.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assisting and controlling time and potentially sub contracted time inputs in projects and developing cost estimates for work

Analyse project risk within the context of long term site service contract and manage to minimise

Direct staff responsibility for design staff or sub contracted work members to meet client needs.

Working to very tight timescales in a complex, challenging environment across design, commercial, installation and project management activities.

Regular liaison meetings with clients is an important part of this role and the work will include significant level of presence on Client sites throughout the UK

REQUIREMENTS:

*Extensive experience in a Mechanical Engineering role
*General knowledge of chemical engineering and installations from a mechanical perspective
*Knowledge of air blowers, pumping specification, pipe conventions and design
*Knowledge of industrial water and wastewater treatment (Desirable)
*Knowledge of O/C/A QA process to co-ordinate design activity with system requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

*Degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering (Essential)
*Member of appropriate professional body (MIMechE etc) (Desired)
*Health, Safety and Environmental Training
*Able to demonstrate ongoing CPD
