Location: Cumbrae Primary School Roll: 83 + Nursery 14 Salary: £21,438 - £34,200 Temporary until 28 June 2013 To be responsible and accountable for teaching duties in accordance with the Council's overall Education and Skills objectives. What will you do?
To deliver an effective education service in accordance with the Council’s corporate policies and procedures and relevant strategy provision. To teach classes P1-P7, to provide NCCT cover and PT cover (0.8) Monday - Thursday together with associated planning and preparation. Assessing, moderating, recording and reporting on the work of pupils, developing the school curriculum in line with CfE. Contributing to the S.I.P. Maintaining positive behaviour of pupils, contributing towards good order and the wider needs of the school. Undertaking appropriate and agreed continuing professional development in line with the SFR, PRF and SIP
What do you need to bring to the Role?
You must be or be eligible to be GTCS Registered. Experience across all stages, experience of developing Expressive Arts, Health and Well-Being and French Curriculum. Secure knowledge of CfE across all stages. Evidence of the ability to plan coherent, progressive and stimulating teaching programmes which match the needs and abilities of pupils. Evidence of ability to work as part of a team. References As part of the selection process we ask that you provide ONE completed reference alongside your application form. References will be read in conjunction with your application form. Therefore, applicants who do not submit references in time will be placed at a disadvantage compared to those who have provided appropriate references, as additional points will be added to your score where the panel are in receipt of a satisfactory reference (i.e 0 points for no reference received, maximum of 6 points for a very strong reference). Your second referee will be contacted by North Ayrshire Council if you are the preferred candidate for the post.
