This is an exciting opportunity for someone to work with one of the areas most sought after employers who focus on staff development and career progression from within. This new Accounts Assistant position has been created due to internal promotion and we are looking for a proactive and motivated person to join our client and develop in this role.
The main duties of the role include:
Processing invoices accurately and to deadlines as set out by your manager
Monitoring the level of outstanding issues and targeting them to ensure delivery on all service level agreements.
Processing daily bank transactions and reconciling the bank on a regular basis
Reconciliation of ledger accounts
Reconciling all outstanding items at month end
Building effective and collaborative relationships throughout the business to ensure the development and understanding of the company processes and procedures
Delivering an exceptional finance service to both internal and external customers
Proactively developing yourself in terms of company knowledge and processes and understanding your impact on the business and ways to improve this where possible
In addition to this you must be a natural organiser who takes a proactive approach to work and always strives to deliver against timescales and targets. You will have sound numerical skills and knowledge as well as a good standard of verbal and written English. Previous experience from an accounts assistant / accounts payable role is essential and a working knowledge of the SAP system would be beneficial however full training will be provided.
