Applications are invited from candidates interested in the above positions within our Conversion Area.

You will have proven Leadership skills, have a logical and systematic approach to problem solving, a good understanding of Product specifications and Customer expectations.

You will be fully aware of relevant Health and Safety legislation, standards and processes.  Have an understanding of Risk Assessment and Safe Systems of Work and an understanding of Lean Manufacturing tools and techniques would be an advantage.

Main Accountabilities & Responsibilities

  •  Safety

o   Adherance to all internal and external Health & Safety and environmental procedures and standards.

o   Safety Audits and Accident investigations.

o   Lead Safety Improvement teams and Projects.

  • Quality

o   Quality checks, inspections and assessments.

o   Monitor and analyse daily KPI’s to drive performance.

  •  People Management / Development

o   Conduct Performance reviews on an ongoing basis.

o   Managing attendance and timekeeping.

o   Identify training resources and requirements to support development across all shifts.

  • Monitoring and Reporting

o   Drive standards and improvements in housekeeping and 5s.

o   Monitor and analyse Scorecards/KPI metrics ensuring improvement plans are implemented.

  • Effective Communication

o   Business and departmental briefs, action plans, safety bulletins etc

  • Planning and Co-ordination

o   Co-ordinate activities and improvements on shift.

o   Short term planning and forecasting regarding downtime and yields.

o   Liaise with Engineering regarding maintenance, changeovers and breakdowns.

Suitable candidates will have good interpersonal skills, communication and people management skills as the role holder is required to lead and develop a Team and resolve conflicts.  You will be commercially astute and aware of the wider business environment in order to optimise the resources available and encourage a culture of openness and individual accountability.
