Based at Fairview Feed Mill, Ingliston we currently have a vacancy for a Production Technician.

Applicants are invited from self-motivated individuals who are proactive, enjoy working on their own as well as part of a team, have good communication skills and an engineering background.

Reporting directly to the relevant Shift Supervisor/Maintenance Manager, the position will require someone with strong organisational qualities with the ability to work unsupervised.

The main tasks and responsibilities of this role include:

• Carrying out a variety of maintenance tasks:- preventative maintenance checking, die changes, roll adjustments, screen changes, grinder hammers.
• Repairing or reporting if unable to repair defects to immediate manager.
• Optimisation of process control and equipment.
• Maintaining PPM records.
• Completion of process quality control checks and the reporting of substandard products.
• Assisting with the weighbridge / intake.
• Maintaining work area to a hygienic standard.
