Job Overview
You will assist the Head Teacher in the effective leadership, management, administration and smooth running of the school, including the promotion of positive behaviour. Deputising for the Head Teacher you will be responsible in whole, or in part, for areas including the leadership of: People; Learning and Teaching ; School Improvement ; Curriculum Development ; Policy and Planning and Resources and Finance.
You will be expected to work as part of an effective Senior Management Team leading learning , managing change , embedding a culture of reflection and promoting the achievements of Newton Primary School and Nursery. There are 2 Depute Head Teacher vacancies and currently one focuses on Nursery to P3, and the other focuses on P4-P7, however, there will be a requirement for collaborative working on developments for the whole school community.
