Accountant Glasgow   Up to £150/day

HR Consultancy has an excellent opportunity for a part of fully qualified accountant to join a leading financial services organisation in Glasgow city centre. The role is on a 24 week contract and the successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Ensuring all processes are carried out to agreed quality and control standards including full compliance with the general ledger reconciliation, journals, eliminations and ETA processes.

• The capture of raw data from both SAP and non-SAP origins to finalise the base financial information

• Ensuring all items in SAP Open Item and Suspense Accounts are regularly reviewed

• Reviewing performance and identifying areas for improvement

• Ensuring that an effective financial control framework is in place and operating in accordance with both internal and external policies and frameworks

The successful candidate will:

• Be part or fully qualified (ACCA, CIMA, CA)

• Have a strong academic background and be university degree educated

• Have strong analytical and numerical skills

• Have preferably worked in Financial Services

• Understand and be able to comply with all governance and compliance

• Preferably have knowledge of Excel and SAP
