My client is a highly regarded company, which provides complete solutions to global customer base within the Oil & Gas industry.
To support their growing business based in Fife and to support expansion of their product range, an excellent opportunity has arisen for a Global Design Engineering to be part of ground breaking engineering group.
DUTIES TO INCLUDE:
To develop long term strategies and processes to ensure best practices are implemented and metrics are developed to assist in continuous improvement Ensures that Manufacturing/Engineering resources are fully participating in Integrated Product and Process Design from the voice of the customer through the life cycle of our systems Validates that product designs have been co-authored, reviewed and approved by the Design For Manufacture group prior to progressing to the next gate Represents Design for Manufacture on the Manufacturing Engineering (ME) Council THE CANDIDATE:
Significant experience in managing/leading in a manufacturing engineering environment along with a thorough working knowledge of key facets of manufacturing processes, practical experience in a manufacturing environment, and good problem solving skills A diverse background in both design engineering and production and/or previous experience in an IPPD environment considered beneficial. Master Black Belt or similar certifications are desirable Proven management and team building skills Needs working knowledge of Safety and Environmental regulations, ISO and Quality Management Systems and knowledge of budget preparation and cost control ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree (ideally Honours), or equivalent qualifications, in a relevant Engineering/Technical field TO APPLY:
