My client is a highly regarded company, which provides complete solutions to global customer base within the Oil & Gas industry. To support their growing business based in Fife and to support expansion of their product range, an excellent opportunity has arisen for a Mechanical Design Engineer, to work within this new ground-breaking engineering group.

DUTIES TO INCLUDE:

  • The preparation of innovative designs backed with engineering calculations and analysis.
  • The review and checking of drawings and calculations.
  • The preparation of production drawings and liaison with suppliers.
  • Taking ownership of projects from start to finish, including purchasing of parts, overseeing and coordinating build and test of equipment, compile product documentation, ensuring delivery of product on time and within budget.

    • THE CANDIDATE:

  • Experience in the designing some of the following; subsea products, Hydraulic and Mechanical mechanisms or equipment.
  • 3D CAD experience with packages such as; Unigraphics, Solidworks, ProE or Catia would be an advantage.
  • Experience with hand calculations and use of software such as MathCAD or similar is desirable.
  • General project management experience is also desirable

    • ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Honours Degree in Mechanical or other relevant discipline.
  • Other qualifications may be accepted at the discretion of Engineering Management.
