Our client is the UK market leader in developing Bank Balance Sheet Management software. The software is used to manage market, liquidity and capital risk for many hundereds of billions of financial assets, liabilities and derivatives. The company is proud of its track record of installing software solutions successfully.
In order to support their growing client base using the ALMIS software application and software development activities, the company are looking to recruit full time Financial System Analysts.
Applicants should have a keen interest in both finance and financial modelling with good communciations skills and an ability to understand IT.
Key Aspects of the role would include: Software implementation and client support - Helping clients implement and integrate the ALMIS software with a banks' underlying system infrastructure, Assist clients run and reconcile financial risk reports, Assisting clients develop customised financial risk reporting packs using the excel based report writer, Communication with customers through newsletters and client webinars.
Software development tasks include: Assisting with the development process by setting up specific testing routines, Documentation of new developments.
This will be a client facing role and requires an appreciation of IT for financial management within the banking sector but no specialist knowledge would be assumed.
We are looking for candidates who are enthusiastic, articulate, intelligent and self starters. They should ideally have a good degree in accountancy and finance or financial risk management and an enthusiasm for Bank risk management and the ALMIS product and its value to customers.
Whilst we are are not looking for specific experience in this sector, the candidate must demonstrate that they have done some finance/IT work, can grasp the high level concepts of financial risk management and are serious about their career development.
This role would ideally suit applicants wishing to become a management accountant CIMA or corporate treasurer MCT, and assistance with be given to help with that.
