New Gorbals Housing Association is a dynamic Community Controlled Housing Association owning and managing 2500 homes in the Gorbals. We also operate as factor for 1,600 owner occupiers.

We are now seeking to recruit enthusiastic and committed candidates to fill the following posts:

Welfare Rights Officer EVH Grade 7 - £28,434 - £31,223 - Full Time, 2 year contract, 35 hours per week.

The Welfare Rights Officer will provide a welfare rights and income maximisation service direct to the Association’s tenants.

The postholder will work closely with Housing Management staff to provide a pro-active response to the changes in Welfare Reform and seek to mitigate the potential impacts for the Association and its tenants.

You will have a comprehensive knowledge of tenancy issues and the welfare benefits system with excellent communication and negotiation skills. An ability to plan and manage your own workload and be computer literate are also essential requirements of this post.

Customer Engagement Officer 35 hours per week EVH Grade 7 - £28,434 - £31,223 - Full Time, 2 year contract,

The Customer Engagement Officer will be involved in the delivery of a range of front facing services to tenants and other customers of the Association, including owner occupiers.

Among the duties of this new post will be to further deliver the Association’s approach to customer engagement including organising customer surveys, focus groups and other methods of user feedback.

You will also play a key part in the adoption and roll out of the Association’s new complaints handling procedures and be involved in developing and updating our web-site.

You will be an excellent team player with a commitment to customer care and continuous improvement in service delivery as well as having proficiency for the use of all Microsoft Office computer packages.

Administrator EVH Grade 5 £21,167- £23,523 - Full Time, 2 year contract, 35 hours per week

The Administrator will work as part of the Finance and Administration team and provide assistance with the following:

Front line customer service and telephone duties, dealing with a range of customer and colleague enquiries.

Secretarial/Administrative support to the Association’s departments and committees. Assist with Health and Safety and office organisation.

We are looking for a candidate with good communication skills and a working knowledge of information technology. The candidate must enjoy working in a team whilst possessing the ability to work flexibly and with minimum supervision.

Administration Trainee EVH Grade 2 £13,657- £14,253 - Full Time, 2 year contract, 35 hours per week

The Administration Trainee will work as part of the Finance and Administration team. This will be an opportunity to learn all areas of administration, secretarial and basic finance within a large fast moving housing association.

The successful candidate must enjoy learning from the bottom, be hands on and not afraid to work under pressure.
