Identification Officer Glasgow   £9.50 per hour

We are currently recruiting temporary staff for a client based in Glasgow for an immediate start date. As a Disclosure Identification Officer you will be providing a service that will help in the protection of Children and Vulnerable Adults. As this role is completely computer based, applicants must be computer literate. Keen attention to detail and an ability to maintain a high level of concentration for extended periods are require. As the role requires access to police criminal record databases, appointment  is dependent upon successful completion of a police vetting check
  
Main duties of the role include:
Comparing applicant’s details against information held on Police criminal record databases and other data sources
If any information on the applicant exists, checking the accuracy of all information provided and its relevance to the application
Ensuring any gaps in the information are identified and highlighted to applicants/other agencies if required
Accurately applying legislation such as Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (1974) and other appropriate legislation to applications. Training will be given on this.
Carrying out quality assurance checks on the work of your peer group to ensure a high level of service is maintained at all times
Related Ad-Hoc office duties if required
 
Hours of Work:
We have three intakes for this role; 29th October, 5th November and 12th November. All intakes are for nightshift; Monday to Thursday 8.15pm to 6.15am.  These vacancies are temporary, however ongoing, and are expected to last for approximately 11months.
