Location: Montgomerie House, Kilwinning
What is the Role?
To lead and manage the following Services of the Council, to be responsible to the Corporate Director for such and to be accountable to the Council:
  • Internal Transport
  • Streetscene
  • Waste Services
  • Building Services
  • Facilities Management


What will you do?

North Ayrshire Council's ambitious change programme sets out a range of challenging objectives and priorities which will help secure a positive future for the people who live and work in our area. We are looking for an exceptional individual who can demonstrate the breadth of capability, skills and vision required to lead our Environment & Related Services - Waste, Transport, Facilities Management, Building Services and our award winning Streetscene Service. With further transformation planned in these services, a key aspect will be retaining focus on the continuous improvement and effectiveness of service delivery in a challenging financial climate.

What do you need to bring to the Role?

You will be able to demonstrate extensive experience at a senior management level of formulating policy on complex issues and the ability to create new and innovative solutions. You will be a strategic thinker and inspirational leader who will deliver a clear sense of purpose and direction and will easily gain the confidence of elected members, employees, trade unions, local communities and partner organisations. While change management will be of paramount importance, you will also have excellent people management skills, combined with integrity and sound ethical judgement.
