The Role:

Continued success and expansion of this company's operation has resulted in an exciting opportunity for an Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer to join the team carrying out an Asset Care role.

The main objectives of the role are:

  • Provide discipline engineering expertise and support to the Asset in delivering plant integrity and availability.
  • Develop and coordinate the supporting implementation plan and budget requirements to ensure delivery of Asset Care and planned reliability improvement.
  • Be responsible for the work-scope development of major projects and shutdown activities within their area.

  • Key responsibilities to include:

  • Direct the Asset Inspection process to ensure compliance with the Statutory and Integrity inspection schedule including approval of written schemes of examination.
  • Lead the monthly inspection review meeting and endorse execution plans to ensure Asset integrity is not compromised.
  • Authorise all repair programs resulting from inspection reports to ensure that the Asset plant integrity standards are delivered.
  • Monitor equipment performance to identify plant vulnerabilities and poor performers, deliver engineering solutions to meet the plant performance targets.
  • Ensure that the MMS (Maintenance Management System) database for all equipment has the correct technical details and properly schedules preventive maintenance to achieve the Asset Care Policy.
  • Develop, select, recommend, and install engineering improvements for the asset equipment to achieve the agreed asset improvement targets.
  • Supervise the execution of assigned scope of works during shutdowns to ensure plant is overhauled as planned and to a standard to deliver asset reliability targets.
  • Develop and implement Capital Improvements Projects to improve asset integrity and reliability to deliver reliability targets for the Asset.

  • The Candidate:

    Degree qualified in and Electrical or Instrumentation based discipline with extensive experience of maintenance strategy, asset performance management and reliability within a process manufacturing environment (petrochemical / distillery / paper / oil / gas / similar).

    Chartered status would represent an advantage.
