PAYROLLER Edinburgh   £20000 - £24000 per annum + EXCELLENT BENEFITS

Our prestigious Financial Services client our currently looking for a Payroll Specialist for an initial 3 month contract

JOB

This role will give you the opportunity to be involved with the following:

* Delivering the payroll and benefits cycle for all payrolls including processing, reporting, controls, analysis, to ensure the monthly payroll timetable is met
* Completing operational process checks and reconciliations to payroll and benefits to ensure completeness and accuracy of payroll and benefits calculations and processing
* Carrying out manual calculations
* Responding to customer enquiries via multiple communication channels
* Working as part of the HR Services team and closely with the Payroll Services Manager to contribute to overall delivery of the department's vision, aims and objectives
* Prioritising activities to ensure workload is delivered effectively
* Supporting the Payroll Services Manager and overall department in the achievement of its objectives

YOU

This role will require you to be skilled and/or qualified in the following areas:

* Current knowledge of a Payroll function in a high volume environment
* Hands on experience of HMRC statutory reporting for Tax Year End, P11d
* Detailed & current knowledge of legislation surrounding Payroll, including tax, pensions, employment and data protection legislation
* Detailed & current knowledge of the taxation of company provided benefits and the subsequent reporting through P11d or PSA
* CIPP Foundation in Payroll Administration (or equivalent) is desirable
