This accounts assistant post will involve all aspects of finance including:
Matching, batching and coding invoices
Preparing accruals and prepayments
Preparing and processing weekly and monthly payment runs
Processing company expenses
Processing VAT returns and dealing with the HMRC
Processing weekly and monthly payroll
Dealing with sales ledger invoices
Chasing outstanding invoices and credit control
Performing bank reconciliations
The company are ideally looking for someone who is immediately available or has a short notice period.
They require someone with previous experience in an accounts assistant role.
Ability to work within a team, working to deadlines and tight timescales to meet set objectives
Good IT skills including Microsoft Excel and Word
Systems knowledge of Sage, Sun Accounts, Oracle would be an advantage
