Large international organisation are urgently seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Technician to join their growing team.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a market leading organisation during an exciting period of growth and investment. Quality is at the heart of their manufacturing business as such this role is central to the production processes.

The role of Quality Technician is to support the manufacturing team and to ensure the integrity and quality of the products are guaranteed.

Hours: Average 42 hours per week. Organisation operate a continental shift pattern. (4 days on, 4 days off, rotating between day and night shift.)

Salary: £11.13/hour + 36% shift allowance

Responsibilities
*Product/process non-compliance - ensuring they are accurately documented in the company system, ensuring root cause analysis, effective communication and follow up activities are maintained.
*Risk Management Process - attending and contributing to FMEA meetings, project risk reviews etc.
*Process Audits - planning, executing and reporting, per defined schedule
*Site Calibration System - contributing to the ongoing effectiveness and accuracy - including coordination of external calibration activities, gauge R&R studies, database entry and equipment calibration).
*Test Verification/Acceptance - ensuring all activities are conducted as per schedule, and applicable ISO 9001 requirements. Any deviations from requirements shall be escalated and documented in the appropriate manner.
*Goods Inwards Inspection - ensuring all activities are conducted as per documented procedures and factors either potentially or actually negatively impacting the business are escalated to the appropriate persons in a timely and factual manner.
*PMI (Positive Material Identification) - performing PMI Analysis on applicable procured materials as part of Goods Inwards Inspection and Product realisation activities.
*Documentation Control and Reporting - maintaining good project and business quality records, reports, and documentation
*External Relationships - ensuring a professional and courteous relationship is maintained with Third Party Inspectors and Client Representatives on all matters

Person Specification
*Previous experience working in a highly demanding Quality Assurance/Control role in a highly safety conscious working environment is essential
*Demonstrable experience in creating, investigating to root cause and reporting product and process related Non Conformance Reports
*Experience of planning/executing/reporting of process type based audits
*Ability to interpret complex component specifications and drawings
*Experience of operating a Site Calibration System, including calibrating gauges to company and national calibration standards
*Experience of Test Verification/Acceptance - and preparing accurate reports
*Previous experience conducting Incoming Materials Verification using various different types of inspection and measurement equipment
*Good working knowledge of ISO 9001:2008
