The Company

Robert Half Finance and Accounting are working with an Edinburgh based charity to recruit a Management Accountant on a permanent basis. This is an exciting role which forms part of a small, tight knight Finance function and offers exposure to various areas of the business. The Role

As Management Accountant in Edinburgh, your role will be varied and challenging with typical duties including ensuring the maintenance of the Sun accounts system, supporting and liaising with project staff as necessary providing project reports and analysis, taking responsibility for managing the budgeting and forecasting process, month end reporting including monthly management accounts and related commentary, assisting with day to day transaction processing and monthly key account reconciliations and assisting with the preparation of audit information and liaising with external auditors as required. Finally, you will support the Director of Finance and Finance Manager with ad hoc duties as required. We are looking for applications from candidates with at least 2-3 years experience of working in a Management Accounting or Project Accounting capacity. Ideally, you will have a sound working knowledge of Sun or a related Finance system as well as experience of management accounts, cash flow forecasting and budget production. You will have strong Excel capabilities including pivot tables. Finally, experience of foreign currency transactions and delivering information to funders would be advantageous but is not essential.
