Location: Montgomerie House, Irvine
What is the Role? To lead the Waste Awareness Team in order to promote all aspects of sustainable waste management and assist in the administration, development and implementation of waste and recycling services for the Council.
What will you do?
Co-ordinate a team of waste awareness officers to deliver a comprehensive behaviour change campaign in order to contribute to the achievement of the Councils Waste Strategy.
What do you need to bring to the Role?
You must be educated to Higher level or equivalent, have experience of working within the waste management and recycling field along with extensive knowledge of both Scotland's Zero Waste Plan and NAC Waste Strategy and knowledge of waste management legislation. You must also have experience of managing the successful delivery of waste awareness activities and projects and experience of working with young people and children in education and awareness. Knowledge of the Curriculum for Excellence and the Eco-schools programme and the ability to plan, prepare and implement waste management projects and initiatives and ability to prioritise own workload and that of others, work to deadlines and availability to travel throughout North Ayrshire are also essential.
