Our client are a well-established engineering company with an excellent reputation.

They currently have an opportunity for a Contracts Engineer to join their team.

The role will be responsible for managing and coordinating all products and repairs through their workshop, ensuring that manufacturing is completed to meet customer requirements.

Roles and responsibilities:

Co-ordinating and reporting on all workshop overhaul activities;

Preparation of all workshop related documentation;

Preparation of detailed quotations in compliance with all relevant standards;

Procurement of materials, spares and third party services to meet delivery requirements;

Customer liaison with regards to progress of work, commercial issues and component supply;

Planning of workshop activities to meet customer requirements, contract deadlines and output requirements;

Order book management, to ensure compliance with customer order requirement, progress reports and maintain output targets in line with monthly forecasts;

Prepare job files for timely invoicing, final sign off and closure.

The candidate will:

Be a time-served mechanical engineer;

Possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal;

Professional approach with customers and be able to build a good working relationship with the client;

Good interpersonal skills and the ability to foster good relationships with customers, team members, management and sub-contractors.
