Joint Venture Accountant Edinburgh   £35000

A great opportunity for a qualified accountant with drive and enthusiasm to join a highly skilled and high calibre team in a commercial and innovative Plc.

You will:

• Take primary role for month-end process for JV entities and contribute  towards internal Monthly Financial Report
• Key link in reconciling well costs between drilling Cost Accountant daily estimates and actual invoices received
• Review of monthly cash calls for JV partners
• Prepare Billing Statements for JV partners
• JV contact for external auditors (including prep of audit files)
• Key role in assembling all required information for internal, JV Partner and Production Sharing Contract (PSC) Cost Recovery audits
• Understand and implement financial aspects of PSC and Joint Operating Agreements (JOA)
• Manage input from Partner’s finance staff to JV entities
• Assisting the JV manager with the annual budget process
• Liaison with Corporate Team on JV activities
• Ad hoc projects

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum of recently qualified accountant
• Management accounting experience
• SUN Accounting System experience preferred but not requirement
• Positive attitude, enthusiastic, flexible, self starter, good team player, ability to prioritise and multitask, ability to operate in a dynamic/ever-changing environment
