Skills and Experience
Substantial and current experience of working directly with children experiencing social, emotional and behavioural difficulties.
Working with parents, teachers, social workers, educational psychologists etc.
Contributing to the development of Individual Learning Plans.
Diploma in Social Work or Teaching qualification to Degree or equivalent level and with at least 4 years post training experience.
Current GTC registration for teachers.
Current SSSC registration for social workers.
Assessment, decision-making and organisational skills including the ability to prioritise work.
Commitment to the concept of inclusion and the Moray Council’s policies in respect of pupils with SEN including SEBD.
Self motivating; able to work independently but with equal commitment to team working; high level of networking and interpersonal skills; articulate communicator both verbally and in written form.
Motivational and leadership skills to lead a team, recognising the contribution of team members.
You will be expected to travel efficiently and effectively between various work locations within Moray to meet the operational requirements of the Service. Due to the rural nature of Moray this is normally undertaken by use of a car
The ability to work as a member of a team.
