As an Audit Data Analyst your responsibilities in the role will include:

Supporting the wider audit function in the delivery of the audit plan through timely extraction and analysis of business data. Drawing conclusions from this work and feeding this output into audit reporting.

Extracting business data from various source systems and data warehouses.

Working with large volumes of data, writing scripts in SQL, SAS and ACL for filtering logic, aggregation, and performing data manipulations based on comprehension of key audit requirements.

Developing effective understanding of the data that is available from various source systems and data warehouses through working closely with the business.

Agreeing data analysis approach with lead auditors for each review and delivering output in line with expectations.

Managing your own time to ensure timely delivery of output.

Organising yourself to manage several concurrent pieces of work.

Building and maintaining effective professional relationships within and outside the IA Department.

Maintaining your skills through ongoing training and development.

Helping educate the wider team on the effective use of Data Analytics as assist in delivering strategic objectives.

Working effectively with the wider audit team in providing support to deliver the audit plan through planning, execution, reporting and follow up.

Assess risks, evaluate controls, identify issues and develop solutions with the business.

Adhering to Internal Audit Methodology, and all company policies and procedures.

Experience required:

Experienced in MI, BI or other Data Analysis.

SAS, SQL, ACL, IDEA or similar data extraction and analysis languages.

Internal Audit (processes, methodology).

Familiarity with Banking or General Insurance.
