A new role has become available with one of Edinburgh's up and coming tech enterprises. With the continuing relationship between Finance and Technology in Edinburgh, this organisation has continued to grow steadily over the last few years, attracting talent from both sectors and offering a fresh new product to the market.

2016 is promising more growth for the company and with this comes the need for a talented and experienced Business Analyst who is capable of working on their own initiative to contribute high level analysis across various areas of the business.

The role will involve researching and analysing regulatory change and understanding how this will affect the business. You will need to research and understand relevant industry trends and process the ways in which these trends may benefit/change the way the business works. You will also be required to work throughout the company to understand requirements from different areas and communicate these throughout the business, nurturing them into technical requirements. The focus will not just be internal though as you will need to effectively analyse competitors behaviour in the market place and prepare the company to react accordingly in order to stay competitive.

Due to the nature of company and the focus of their product, experience within the payments/transactions industry will prove highly beneficial in this role. Anyone who understands current industry trends within payments security such as Faster Payments or 3D Secure will be at a distinct advantage in this role. An interest in emerging regulations within that industry such as PSD2, and how these will affect businesses/consumers will also be extremely useful for this particular role.

To be a success you will need to be comfortable communicating throughout all areas of an organisation and working closely with technical counterparts who can turn identified issues into technical solutions. You must be able to document your work and effectively liaise with senior management/stakeholders so everyone is aware of the results of your analysis.

This role comes with a very attractive salary and benefits package and presents a refreshing opportunity for the right individual to help shape a company's future.
