We are looking for a talented Senior Manager who is passionate about making sure that public services are run efficiently and effectively to join our Performance Audit and Best Value team. 

Additionally, a relocation package is available of up to £8,000, more details will be shared with the successful candidate.

How can you help us...

As a Senior Manager in our Performance Audit and Best Value (PABV) Group, you will oversee the planning, development and delivery of a range of performance audits on issues such as Scotland's new financial powers, health and social care integration, broadband and higher education in Scotland's universities; Best Value audits of councils; annual reports on the performance of the NHS, local government and colleges; and dealing with correspondence from a range of stakeholders, including members of the public. Working closely with colleagues from across Audit Scotland and appointed auditors within the Firms, you will deliver excellent and joined-up services for the Accounts Commission and the Auditor General.

We are looking for an enthusiastic professional to help us with:

  • overseeing developments in a specific policy and place portfolio and identifying subjects/bodies for audit through gathering intelligence and monitoring risks and policy changes

  • developing relationships with key stakeholders in their specialist policy and place areas to ensure that our work is credible, relevant and adds value

  • areas of corporate development and improvement activity within PABV

  • ensuring consistency of judgements, fair and equitable treatment of staff, coordination of activities and flexible, efficient and effective use of resources.
